You can even hear the waves lapping on the beach from your bed. Enjoy a spa bath or book in for a masssage by Allan. Beach access through bush reserve. Cliff Walk to Quarantine Bay. Abundant birdlife in garden. Broadband available(fee). Qualified masseur on site. Generous Brekky provisions on arrival OR I will do your own shopping list in advance so its in the apartment when you arrive. Bar b que and rear patio. Comfy beds, spa bath, full kitchen, laundry. Local Attractions:

Within 10 minutes of Eden is the Northern section of Ben Boyd National Park, where there is picturesque scenery, walks, beaches and bird life. The southern section is more spectacular, starting with the Boyd Tower on the southern entrance to the bay. Unusual geographical features and coloured rocks are found at this site, as well as great views to the south and from the rear of the tower there is a fabulous view over the whole of Twofold bay. This is a good whale-watching site in mid September through to late November or really participate and take a whale-watching tour. In off season for whales there is a great bay tour with the Cat Balou - usually the dolphins tag along. Another exiciting opportunity is sailing with Blue Water Escapes. In mid October we have our Whale Festival, which is a weekend where you will find something for everyone, from sideshow rides, food, music, markets to fireworks. From Boyd Tower to Greencape is a designated 30 km walk, but don't be daunted as you can do about 4 sections in short stints. Back in town There is a great boardwalk around Lake Curalo, or you can just relax in the peacefulness, fish, canoe or watch the birds. Scuba diving is also available, and recently kayaking on the Bay. Maybe fishing is your desire. The Eden Killer Whale Museum is a must. Maybe you just want to walk the beaches. From the rear of our home you can walk to Cocora beach and then along the headland to Quarantine Bay. Our restaurants serve fresh local produce, (seafood usually caught on the day) many having won awards in the last few years, which is great for a small country town.

Getting There:

From Melbourne: take the Princes Highway and travel through Traralgon, towards Lakes Entrance. Continue on another two and a half or so hours and you will pass Cann River, Genoa and from there it is about three quarters of an hour. After coming to the reduce speed town zone you take the turn right at Ida Rodd Drive to Cocora Beach. Then the third street on the left, Bay street, then the fifth house on the right, number 10, Gibsons by the Beach. There are B&B signs from the highway but we are not the B&B behind the Bayview Motel. Go to the next turn off. From Sydney: take the Princes Highway all the way to Pambula. Travel from Pambula on the Princes Highway, enter the Eden town reduced speed zone, travel about two kms to the first round about turn right to Melbourne. Near the top of the hill just after VP service station, turn left into Ida Rodd Drive and travel to third street on left, Bay Street. We are the fifth house on the right, number 10, Gibsons by the Beach.
