Camellia Cottage (c1880) is a charming and cosy farm cottage, comfortable and welcoming. Our end of road position means perfect peace - there are glorious river and rural views, and our extensive gardens are part of the Australian Open Garden Scheme. The Cottage is perfect for a couple, but children are welcome, and our farm animals are friendly. Renowned for the tranquillity and peace, the Cottage is near all the major attractions in the Huon Valley. Generous breakfast provisions are provided, including home made bread, cookies and jams, and there are good local restaurants close by. There are gas and electric barbecues and a microwave, so its easy to prepare your own meals if you wish. Spring or summer, autumn or winter, Camellia Cottage is your home away from home, and you are guaranteed of a warm welcome.

An easy 40 minute drive south from Hobart on the A6. The Cottage is signposted on the main road, and is one kilometre from the junction of Crowthers Road and the Huon Highway.

The Cottage is the original home, it is one large room with a large en suite bathroom. There is a queen sized bed and single bed, dining table and chairs, and sofa and lounge chair, coffee table etc by the open fireplace. Television, pantry cupboard, dresser, etc. All linen supplied, children welcome, extra person charge applies. Under 5 years old free.

Getting There:

Follow the A6 from Hobart, through Huonville and Franklin. Castle Forbes Bay is about 8 minutes south of Franklin and Crowthers Road and Camellia Cottage are well signposted.
