Corinna Wilderness Experience - Savage River National Park, TAS

Address:

Main Street, Corinna, TAS, Australia

Description:

Imagine waking to the sound of birds and wallabies outside your retreat , then taking a walk through pristine rainforest. Picture kayaking on a noble and serene river system or taking a cruise to the Heads. Maybe you can land a sea running ocean trout in the Pieman to compliment a Tasmanian wine around a crackling log fire or barbeque in the evening.

The Corinna Wilderness Experience is food for the soul. Corinna is an oasis in the wilderness, where a small settlement hangs on the branch of a major river, offering a place to rest, relax or head out on an adventure. Original miners cottages have been beautifully restored with modern kitchens and bathroom facilities. Each retreat is named after a pioneer of Corinna. All retreats are self contained with balconies overlooking the Tarkine rainforest. Alternatively dine in our Tannin Restaurant and taste some of Tasmania's finest produce and wines. Tannin Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner with our Chef utilising as much local produce as possible.

Corinna is the Tarkine eco-destination, an accessible starting point for visitors to connect with the remote wilderness. It reveals nature in the raw, witnessed in its varied landscapes - amazing untouched rainforest, significant biological diversity, wild coastline and the remnants of faded dreams and river crossing traditions. Step aboard the famous Arcadia II, a 70 year old Huon Pine river cruiser for an unforgettable, intimate river and rainforest experience.
