With magnificent Aboriginal rock art, numerous scenic drives, over 90 walking tracks and carpets of wildflowers, the Grampians National Park is a natural wonderland. Some of Australia's most interesting vineyards are located just a short drive away. While you're in the area, visit the cellar doors of producers such as Mt Kangi Ghiran, Bests, Montara and The Gap Vineyard. Adventure companies in the town offer abseiling, rock climbing, horse riding and canoeing, and Halls Gap boasts one of the most picturesque golf courses in the country.
